They headlined a tour, but it was cut short, when the lead singer, Angelakos sought treatment for his bipolar disorder. Luckily, I caught one of their shows, before the tour was stopped. Their opening band was the Joy Formidable, an upbeat British band with a female singer. Passion Pit performed a full set. The show was amazing. Angelekos was one of the most energetic performers in a band that I have seen in a while.
He was constantly dancing and swinging his mic around, not to mention he sounded amazing. But songs like "Sleepyhead" and "Better Things" were even moreso written on the spot, or as I went along the recording process. They were very manic, hyper, and energetic as I was at the time of their creation , but that is what I guess yields lyrics that are pretty honest and sincere. It's like blurting things out, or lying half-conscious describing your dreams.
The point is that the process is pretty much entirely in my head, I have sounds and visuals and can feel and hear how they are all supposed to work with each other. I don't expect myself or many people that create similarly to actually pull off more than half of what they imagine, but that at least leaves you with a lot of leg-room.
But it usually all begins with an overwhelming feeling or something someone says that tips me off. I know it when I feel it or hear it. What can we expect from your debut album in ? It's going to be really beautiful, I'm really happy with it so far. I think it's a step in the right direction. It's hard to explain since it's not completed, but I can say with confidence that I think people will really get a lot out of it. It's a rich, highly textured pop album. It's being produced with my friends Grant and Matt of the group Landau at their studio in Brooklyn.

This sounds like it is representing her weakness, and that she's breaking down. My Interpretation The title "Sleepyhead" appears to me a description of someone who appears, quite literally, very sleepy: this person is suffering from an injury or terminal illness.
The first verse concerning fire is, to me, the sufferer describing the pain of the affliction, which seems to have a manifestation in the eyes "brims". At one point, the sufferer was "one inch from the edge of this bed," i. Bursting may mean some kind of heart failure or other literal bursting. You don't usually crowd in the room of someone who's already dead. It is at this point that the grim possibility that death really is here becomes apparent through the thin thoughts of denial.
They are there against the sufferer's wishes rules , because if the sufferer had had it their way, the plug would have already been pulled and these people wouldn't be here.
